B] Regional Training Centre(RTC) in East Zone, declared on 2016 by DAC, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India

 

Facilities/Services:

A)  Voluntary Blood Donation & Diagnostic:

1. Voluntary blood donation between 10.00 hrs - 16.00 hrs daily and outdoor blood donation camps on prior booking basis.

2. 100% blood component separation.

3. Immunohaematology (IH) tests:

                a) Direct Coombs test(DCT)/Direct Antiglobulin test(DAT):Tuesdays & Fridays between 10:00hrs - 14:00hrs

                b) Indirect Coombs Test (ICT)/Indirect Antiglobulin Test (IAT):Monday to Saturday between 10.00hrs -14.00hrs

                c) Antibody Screening & Identification: Wednesday between 10:00hrs & 14:00hrs

                d) Workup of transfusion reaction:Daily between 10:00hrs & 14:00 hrs

                e) Critical transfusion support in terms of red blood cell incompatibility: Daily between 10:00hrs - 19:30hrs

3. Blood typing and crossmatching 24hrs a day, 7 days a week

 

B) Therapeutic:

1. Consultation & support in critical transfusion care

2. Phlebotomy in polycythemia patients

3. Platelet pheresis

4. Peripheral Blood Stem cell Harvest

5. Plasmapheresis & Therapeutic plasma exchange

6. Cryopreservation of stem cells

7. Therapeutic Leukoreduction

 

C) Blood components available:

1. Concentrated human red blood cells

2. Fresh frozen plasma (FFP)

3. Random donor platelets (RDP)

4. Single donor platelets (SDP)

5. Cryoprecipitate

6. Buffy coat (On special request )

7. Cryopreserved stem cells
